Daniel Blood
Director of Undergraduate Studies and Teaching Associate Professor, Mechanical Engineering
Daniel Blood joins the faculty at Mines after teaching for seven years in the Mechanical Engineering department at Valparaiso University. His teaching interests are primarily in the areas of design and manufacturing, and his undergraduate research interest focuses on characterizing additive manufacturing technologies.
Daniel brings eighteen years of experience working on humanitarian projects in developing countries, and he is excited to work with the Mines students on a variety of on-going projects in Central America. He is the co-founder of TripleTech3D LLC, a company that focuses on assistive technologies for developing countries.
Daniel is excited about all the outdoor activities Colorado has to offer, and cannot wait to explore them with his family.
