Isabella Mendoza, a Mechanical Engineering PhD student, is currently working on identifying sub-structure damage in carbon fiber-reinforced composites that are invisible to the naked eye. She is also the VP of the Graduate Student Government (GSG) and has aspirations of being a research professor in her own research lab after graduation.
