Alaina Clar is an ME student and Harvey Scholar who is involved in many organizations across campus including the Mines Women’s Rugby team, Pi Beta Phi, MAC E-Days committee, and the Undergraduate Student Government. Because Alaina was born deaf and has a Cochlear Implant, she is passionate about accessibility. She plans to start her own company after graduation which would make sports more accessible to people with hearing loss by manufacturing protective equipment for hearing devices.
